DAVID HINCHLIFFE (Australia) who has had a very successful painting career spanning over 50 years, with more than 100 solo exhibitions of paintings, sculptures and photographs around the world. He is represented by 13 galleries and dealers in London, New York, Tokyo, Hong Kong, Singapore, Sydney and Perth and Philippines.
His style is described as “contemporary impressionism”. His subjects are principally street scenes, landscapes and figurative works. Hinchliffe has a unique style which he shares at workshops around the world. He paints from dark to light, creating figures and form by painting in negative space. He worked in oils for most of his career, but switched to acrylics 6 years ago.
