NICOLE ASARES (b. 1995, Bohol Philippines) is a visual artist known for her relentless use of textured line. Her work embodies the art of zen-doodles, creating playful and expressive images through patterns of dots, lines, simple curves, and spheres. She draws inspiration from everyday events and the stories of diverse people, enjoying the way they convey humor and playfulness. Her paintings are characterized by bold, graphic lines that seem to leap from the canvas, creating a sense of movement and dynamism.
Her work has been exhibited in exhibitions both domestically and internationally. Her achievements include being a semifinalist in the 2019 GSIS Art Competition, a semifinalist in the 2022 Shell National Student Art Competition, and a finalist in the 2023 GSIS Art Competition.
